  • China’s Center for Information and Industry Development (CCID) latest crypto rankings has EOS topping the list with a basic-tech sub-index of about 105

China’s Center for Information and Industry Development (CCID) updated its crypto project rankings as the country continues to face challenging times. A total of 37 crypto projects were inspected and assessed for the same, with a further categorization into three sub-indices: basic technology, applicability, and creativity.

The latest update saw EOS topping the list, with Tron and Ethereum bagging second and third positions respectively. This trend is the same as the previous list released in February. Bitcoin, however, dipped from 11th position to 14th position. The center stated:

“From February to March 2020, due to the impact of the global coronavirus pandemic, the update of selected public chain projects slowed down, and the overall index has not changed much.”

Ethereum topped the ranking for the second sub-index, that is, applicability, followed by Tron and Nebulas. Bitcoin ranked substantially higher for the category creativity as compared to the other crypto projects. EOS and Ethereum followed Bitcoin’s lead in terms of creativity.

The CCID updates its rankings every two months and the latest report marks its 17th crypto project ranking. The assessment is carried out with the assistance of several organizations such as the CCID think tank and the China Software Evaluation Center.
