- Users of the HTC Exodus 5G Hub will be able to send Bitcoin transactions independent of any 3rd party
HTC is set to release the Exodus 5G Hub in Q2 of this year, and it will have a full Bitcoin node, enabling users to send Bitcoin transactions independent of any 3rd party.
Essentially, in order to send Bitcoin transactions a full node is required, which contains the entire history of Bitcoin. However, it can take months to setup a full node due to the enormous amount of blockchain data that needs to be downloaded, and therefore Bitcoin users usually depend on 3rd party Bitcoin nodes to send transactions.
The Exodus 5G Hub has the potential to increase the decentralization of the Bitcoin network, by easily allowing any crypto user to run a full Bitcoin node, and also users will have increased security since they will not need to depend on 3rd parties.
Other features of the Exodus 5G Hub include a hardware wallet, ProtonMail, the blockchain-based Brave browser, and a VPN, so overall the Exodus 5G Hub provides a full suite of cryptography technology.
