John McAfee, eccentric Bitcoin billionaire and outspoken critic of taxation, is now on the run from the authorities after he was reportedly indicted by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).
The McAfee 2020 Campaign is, as of this day, in exile. I am being charged with using Crypto Cuttencies in criminal acts against the U. S. Government. More videos coming shortly. Stay tuned. pic.twitter.com/C75zcbnKTD

While McAfee is abroad, he has not suspended his 2020 presidential campaign and aims to run it remotely following his latest tussle with federal agencies.
The unorthodox crypto influencer released these latest developments has explained his current predicament in a video message on 22 January 2019. He said that a grand jury had been convened by the IRS officials to proceed further with his indictment and so, he had no choice but to leave the country.
McAfee was his proud, anti-taxation self once again as he flamboyantly claimed that he has not paid taxes in over eight years and that is why the IRS is after him. A series of video blogs on micro-blogging social media network Twitter followed the initial statement which shed further light on his current ordeal.
He said: “I’ve made no secret of it; I’’e not filed returns,… The IRS has convened a grand jury in the state of Tennessee to charge myself, my wife […] and four of my campaign workers with unspecified IRS crimes of a felonious nature.”
According to McAfee, he still won’t quit his presidential run for 2020 elections and he would campaign from his boat in international waters through the use of proxies.
The colorful character constantly keeps the crypto community updated on new developments to talk about. He has a history of having outspoken views against taxation. He is also an avid Bitcoin supporter and has promised to consume an appendage of his own on television should Bitcoin fail to be priced at USD 1 million by 2020.
