The world-leading crypto casino operator, Bitcasino, has successfully ended its Crypto vs. COVID-19 charity campaign after raising 20 BTC (EUR 162,000) through donated loyalty rewards from its community. Support and donations had poured in from all corners of the world, as Bitcasino users contributed towards the COVID-19 relief initiative and helped raise the significant amount in the fight against the pandemic.

Wrapping up the ‘Crypto vs Covid’ charity campaign with such positive milestones, Bitcasino once more partnered with crypto-led charity, The Giving Block, to launch another wave of relief initiatives. This time around, the latest collaboration featured Pioneer club, a virtual charity event platform that helps link tech pioneers together for charity campaigns. Together with these platforms, Bitcasino hosted the No Limit Hold’em charity poker tournament

True to the event name, Bitcasino aims for higher stakes and bigger targets, with the No Limit Hold’em charity poker going live over the weekend at 5 pm UTC, May 16th, 2020. The event was graced by crypto enthusiasts and influencers looking to join forces and create a positive impact in the lives of people affected by the ongoing global crisis. Other platforms such as Binance Charity also played major roles during the event by matching all donated funds at a 2:1 ratio. Similarly, Bitcasino has committed to double donations of up to $10,000.

It is hoped that the event will pull many notable figures in the crypto space, as previous poker tourneys did, attracting the likes of Charlie Lee Litecoin creator and Bitcoin magazine CEO David Bailey. Tauri Tiitsaar, Director of Casino at Bitcasino.io, believes there is no better timing than now to show solidarity. He said:

“Now’s the time to band together with both the crypto community in support of those who are most vulnerable to the threat of COVID-19. After a series of successful charity campaigns and more to come, we hope to show the world how generous our crypto community is and how crypto can be used for positive change.”

Bitcasino’s No Limit Hold’em charity poker tournament was the third of its kind, with the previous two proving to be huge successes. Bitcasino’s hosting of the event comes in the wake of the platform’s recent and successful D3 virtual aid concert on global Giving Tuesday.
