At the trade.io sponsored event “The Future of Cryptocurrencies” hosted by Bloomberg in London on Sunday, the company’s CEO Jim Preissler announced that the flagship launch of its highly anticipated exchange is set to kick-off on July 17th, 2018. The launch, which will be commemorated by a month-long commission feel-less period, will only be available to 1,000 users in during the beta phase of the launch.
Speaking on the event, Jim Preissler, was quoted as saying:
“We are thrilled to announce the launch of our trade.io Exchange. The community has been eagerly waiting, so it gives me great pleasure to announce that we will finally launch on 17th July. It will be a staggered launch to 1,000 people initially, with future clients to be on-boarded in the days to follow.”
The Exchange is part of trade.io goal in becoming the next-generation financial institution. trade.io, creating an ecosystem where the platform’s native TIO token can be traded against other values.
Following the launch of the exchange, trade.io will roll out its liquidity pool which is to be used to distribute interest to token holders. The payment will be issued according to the growth and value of TIO.
Taking Cryptocurrency Mainstream
The trade.io sponsored Bloomberg event was broadcasted live to thousands of viewers and also live-streamed on trade.io’s website. The collaboration brought cryptocurrency discussions to the forefront of mainstream consciousness through some of the brightest and most inventive minds in the industry.
The platform was also able to launch a very effective guerrilla coffee campaign in one of London’s busiest financial centre and commuter hot-spot at Canary Wharf Station. The station, which records over 350,000 people passing through daily, saw trade.io serving over 13,000 free coffees in branded cups, alongside the equally busy London Underground station and 20 independent coffee shops around the city. The company also distributed numerous chocolate coins shaped like the company’s cryptocurrency across various venues. This guerrilla marketing afforded the company a truly unique opportunity to present the company’s ongoing airdrop campaign to the public and get them to register.
That’s not all.
The 1000 lucky users
Jim Preissler enumerated more about the intended outcome of the beta testing, saying:“Following the BETA version of our Exchange where select members tested the platform, we are confident that we will satisfy the specifications stipulated to us by our community, and look forward to sharing in the successes of our upcoming official Exchange.”
