Europe’s premier Bitcoin event, the Bitcoin Amsterdam Conference, kicks off today, returning to the Westergasfabriek in Amsterdam. The Bitcoin industry’s heavyweights are gearing up to converge and deliberate on Bitcoin’s future.
Amsterdam will once again be the epicenter of all things Bitcoin, starting today, October 12th. The Westergasfabriek will undergo a transformation into a three-day hub dedicated to major events happening in the Bitcoin world, as key figures are set to appear and share their insights. The Bitcoin Amsterdam conference boasts an impressive roster of 126 esteemed speakers, featuring top-notch experts from the Bitcoin space and authorities in the realm of Bitcoin and finance.

Among the star-studded lineup, Edward Snowden stands out as one of the most prominent figures. Snowden, a former CIA employee and renowned whistleblower, gained global recognition in 2013 when he unveiled extensive internet and phone surveillance carried out by US intelligence agencies. Snowden will be holding an exclusive Q&A session at the event.

CEO of Trezor, Matěj Žák, will also be there as a Bitcoin Amsterdam Speaker, as well as Adam Back, Co-founder and CEO of Blockstream.
Bitcoin core developer, Peter Todd will also attend the event. His latest tool “OpenTimeStamps” was recently used to secure Guatemala’s election documents on the Bitcoin Blockchain.
Famous Lightning Network developer, Rene Pickhardt is among the speakers of the event as well.
