Berlin, July 24th 2024 — Alby Hub is a new open source product by Alby allowing users to easily manage any Bitcoin app directly from their own lightning node.
The Hub features a one-click install lightning node, a self-custodial wallet, and an easy-to-use app store.
It enables users to connect social media apps such as Damus or Stacker News, Podcasting 2.0 apps and external Lightning wallets directly to their own Alby Hub node via NWC integration, all set up in just a few clicks.
Users can now sign up for Alby Hub via the Alby Hub waitlist to start running their own node with Alby, making their Bitcoin Lightning payments fully sovereign. Existing Alby users can migrate their funds from their Alby Web wallet to their own node on Alby Hub today.
Besides a Lightning Node, a self-custodial wallet and an app store, Alby Hub features card top-ups and integrated LSP services for easy channel management.
Users can choose between the paid Alby Hub Cloud plan for 21k sats per month as a one-click install option to run Alby Hub in the Alby Cloud. The paid plan includes live channel management support and setup support as well as access to the Alby Buzz community.
Alby Hub is also available as a free DIY plan to run Alby Hub on your own server, desktop and even RasperryPi Zero.
