October 10, 2024, Mexico City, Mexico — Today, Swapido announces the launch of its new non-custodial Bitcoin off-ramp platform, which allows users to sell bitcoin over the Lightning Network and instantly send pesos to any bank account in Mexico.
This service is available to customers worldwide, with the exception of US citizens and those in sanctioned countries.
Swapido leverages the Lightning Network, a non-custodial experience, and the SPEI system to provide the fastest and most convenient way to sell bitcoin in Mexico. Users can now pay for virtually anything in the country: rent, tacos for dinner, a taxi ride and more, all with bitcoin.
